Bonds of Elswick has its origins in a local village store which, back in 1946 sold everything from cheese and bacon to ladies nylons and started making and selling ice cream as a side-line. But Bonds Ice Cream, made to a unique and original recipe, soon became a well known and much loved local product.
Through the 50's and 60's the picturesque village was a popular charabanc destination for Blackpool day-trippers and Bonds was besieged by a constant stream of visitors. A restaurant and a café were established on-site, in addition to a busy ice cream kiosk.
Situated in the idyllic village of Elswick just outside Gt Eccleston (please click her to see map). We are ideally placed as part of your day which could take you out to the Fylde coast. Our Famous Vanilla Ice Cream attracts visitors all year round from both near and far.
Today Bonds of Elswick is still a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The café has been completely refurbished and has become Bonds Ice Cream Bar, which serves a dazzling array of ice cream sundaes and desserts in addition to floats, teas, coffees and soft drinks.
Bonds ice cream is available at many stores and supermarkets in the region and is on the menu at local restaurants.
